What is expected from us
There are many things adults expect from us. Students have prepared the list of these expectancies. We have summarized the most important and given our comments.
Obedience
This is one of the most important things adults (especially parents) want from us. It is very comfortable to have obedient child who will not argue and protest.
But teenagers are not children any more and have their own views and ways. But, of course, we should respect opinion of adults too.
Good grades
That is what parents always want us to have! It can be very annoying, because it is not easy to have good grades in all subjects. But parents only worry about our future.
To be more responsible
This is very good demand. Some teenagers want to look like adult but in reality they behave like children and do not want to take responsibility for their actions.
To do more house work
Parents work hard and get tired at work. It is only fair if teenagers help more at home with cooking, cleaning, shopping.
To be serious, responsible and active in study
This is what teachers mostly expect from us. Most of teachers think that their subject is the most important and people cannot do without it. There is truth in this statement, because it is very good to be knowledgeable and skillful in many fields. But on the other hand, teenagers start to think about their future profession and prefer to spend more time on subjects they need for it.
Care when they get old
Of course, children should take care of their parents in the future when they are older. Parents do everything for us now and we must pay them with the same care.
Understanding
Adults expect understanding from us too! We do not always realize that they can have problems too and need possible help from us.
To grow PEOPLE
Parents and teachers want us to become good citizens and have stable moral values.
Fathers push teenagers to be better in school and in life. They want their kids to stay out of trouble, they want that teenagers to be good in all what they do. What fathers say about teenagers is that they are lazy and they want their kids to do the best they can in everything they do and if they have a problem they try to help them solve it or at least say some advice to help them out. When teenagers are failing some subject, fathers usually blame the kids because they think they are not doing their best or they are just lazy, some teenagers are like that but others really struggle and study a lot but that doesn’t help them. Fathers try to help their kids in all that they can but sometimes it doesn’t work. Fathers say kids worry to much about fashion and how they get dressed to go to school.
