Relations with teachers

Our school teachers are people with whom we spend a lot of our time and who make a big influence on our life.
Because of this the relations with teachers are very important aspect in teenager's life.
Teachers are much discussed among teenagers and opinions about them differ a lot. Some find that teachers are friends, some think that teachers are unnecessary creatures who only bother you with study and homework. And some even think that teachers are enemies.

The most usual complaints about some teachers are:
They
- put lower grades than we want or deserve;
- shout;
- have favourite students;
- give much unnecessary home work;
- sometimes are not fair in investigation of problematic cases;
- do not want to listen and do not respect students.

The things we are grateful to teachers are:
- knowledge they give us;
- their patience with us;
- their desire to see us clever, intelligent and good people.

As we see, most of students think that teachers are much more friends than enemies. The good things that they do for us are many times more important than our complaints. We must understand that teaching is a difficult profession; teachers usually have many students and need to find the key to each of them.

We often forget that teachers are people too, we expect too much from them. Some students think that teachers' duty is to endure our bad discipline and that they can't do anything in return and that it is their duty to take peculiarities of all students into account. How often do we think if it is comfortable for the teacher to teach our class? Of course, teacher is supposed to control her emotions but why can't we do it too? We are all people and should respect each other.

As for grades, we should first try to find fault with ourselves.

It is not good to have conflicts with teachers but if we have them, it is better to try to stay calm and speak about problem. It is not true that teachers are always wrong and we are always right.

Good relations with teachers are important for getting knowledge, because we do not listen to people with whom we do not have good relations.
