Time management

  by Nikita (R)

Time is very important. But most of teenagers do not have enough time or "never have time".
What does it mean? It means they do not have enough time on something useful.
Often it happens that teenagers start doing important tasks in the last moment. For example, studying for exams or tests preparations.
It makes bad influence on their health, because before deadline they do not sleep enough, do not spend enough time on fresh air, and do not eat healthy. Some might have nervous breakdowns.
Of course, if it happens once, it is not a big problem but if it repeats always so, then it can have far reaching effects.
How to avoid such situations?
You should always plan your time. Of course, you cannot plan every minute of your life and it is even bad to do so (all your efforts will be directed on realizing your plan).
Time is easy to manage and if you have problems, you can start right now.
Spend one or two weeks writing down everything you do in detail and how much time you spend on it. This way you will find what are your "time stealers". Usually, teenagers spend too much time on chatting on the phone, window shopping and things like that.
Then, try to think what unnecessary activities you can get rid of or at least, reduce time on them.
See how much time you spend on road to school or waiting for transport. Maybe, you can use this time for revising materials?
If you have long term tasks in your study, plan them so that you can do them by steps, not for last two nights.
When you do your homework or study for other assignment, always plan time for some rest, the task will be done more effective and you will not overload yourself.
You must always have time for sport in your schedule, at least, for quick every day walks.
