The way a person dresses is a reflection of his or her personality. Many companies demand certain regulations to be followed regarding dressing and ban certain things about fashion. Schools do this too; they do it so nobody is picked on due to the way he or she dresses, but is this the solution of the problem? Or does the solution lie in the encouraging people to respect others even if they act, think, are, or dress different than them?
My personal opinion is that the solution lies in the creating a peaceful, harmonious and respectful environment. Why should a person be told what to wear? Isn’t this a free country? Isn’t freedom of speech and action our right as citizens? I think that dress codes in schools and workplaces are a legal way to violate one of our most important rights. The way you dress may express you feelings, your passions, and your personality. This brings color to the atmosphere, why should color be left out of our lives? At the end, the most you can do is defend you right to dress the way you want, have the hair as long as you want, or have as many piercing or tattoos as you want, as long as you can, because it is your right to express your feelings and reflect you personality in the way you want.
It is true, when you enter an institution you agree to follow their rules and regulations, but how can you follow these rules if they are not congruent with the laws that run your country? I think dress codes should be banned in all schools and workplaces; it would bring a better ambience to the workplace and school. People would be happier to go to work or to school, since the atmosphere is not gray anymore, it is full of color and joy.

I think that it's right, to have uniforms, but just for gym, because we wouldn't be able to move very well, and we wouldn't get our school clothes dirty. I agree that we shouldn't wear low cut shirts, or tank tops, because some people in this school would wear it inappropriately. And that's about it.

I think that dress code is a very good idea at our lyceum. We look more serious and better than in free clothes. It is good way to learn etiquette too. Many students think that dress code prevents us from expressing ourselves but it is wrong.

I like the style of our lyceum dress code because it is official and serious. It is not banal at all as many might think, but very comfortable.
I think that it is better to have dress code than school uniform because dress code does not suppress the expression of individual. You can always bring change in clothes in reasonable limits. I am happy to have dress code.

I think that dress code is not good idea. Sometimes I feel not comfortable in such clothes. Nobody asked our opinion about this style. I do not understand what it is bad if I wear jeans. It does not make influence to our grades and knowledge.

I think that dress code is good for our parents because they must not worry about what to buy us to wear to school. For students it is not good idea because such clothes are boring, especially for boys and not comfortable. But our teachers think that dress code helps us to learn better.

School dress code or uniform helps people to get a custom for formal clothes, because they can have such necessity in their future jobs. Also dress code helps us to behave more in adult manner. But I think that dress code clothes are expensive.

We, boys, must wear official clothes. I think that it is good for us, because when all wear official clothes, we are more serious in our attitudes, which can result in better study. If we wear all what we want and bright clothes, we do not think much about school and study. Many people think that clothes must be expression of us but it is not right. We go to school to get new knowledge and not to express anything. And it is better to express ourselves in study or other activities and not through clothes.

I think that dress code is a good idea, because if we wear official clothes, we feel and behave officially too. It is useful in school. But at the same time we are young and try to express our opinions through appearance. I am funny girl and do not feel good in official clothes. Sport shoes, for example, are not official wear and prohibited, that is my problem.

I think that our school does not need dress code, it is uncomfortable. After lessons many people go to other places and it is not always good to wear official clothes there.
But on the other hand, dress code helps us to look like clever people and teachers like it.

I wouldn't like wearing a uniform because then you can't express yourself using your clothes. The uniform also might be uncomfortable or you might not like the style.
