This GVC experience has been a very good one because I have learned on how to be a better leader, and it has been very fun doing this. I also improved my skills in flash and webpage edition. I also worked with many people from other countries, and it has been very interesting to interact with them, and I hope that in the future I have another project like this.
Jose P. Medina (M)
For me GVC has been a very cool experience, I’ve learn a lot of new things such as working with technology and teamwork. Another very good thing about GVC is that it lets me interact and know people around the world. Although this was my first year working on GVC I think is one of the coolest projects I’ve ever worked on here at the AIM. I’m really looking forward for the next GVC and I’m also looking forward in working with my fellow classmates because they have helped me a lot and I’ve learned new and useful technological tips working with them.
Ana Cecilia Jaime (M)
Working in GVC has been a very enriching experience not only because I have learned the concepts of a webpage and how to do one but I also learned to work in team and learned about other cultures of different countries by working with them. GVC has been a great experience for me.
Ana Lucia Richo(M)
My GVC experience was not only fun but formative because I learned a lot of things, like how to use flash and a lot more of how to do internet pages. I also had a very good time having to work with people all over the world. Now I know that nothing is impossible if you just believe in it!
Adolfo J. Treviño (M)
I feel very good about GVC, it is very fun and you can learn many things about your friends, and other teenagers. I can know what sports do other persons make, I also learned that addictions are very bad.
Benjamin Gonzalez (M)
I had a nice experience in GVC with the flash motions and doing projects with other people from other countries. I enjoy GVC cause by making something fun I know that I am helping other people to see our hobbies in Mexico and to protect other people from being bullies. Also with this GVC project people can see how nice it is to go out to play and have fun. Thanks GVC for all.Sergio Mange (M)
This experience in working in an international project has made me work harder and develop all of my technology skills to the max, so that the project could come out in the best way. I will like to thank all my technology teachers for giving me the opportunity of being at this GVC, and for helping me whenever I needed.Jorge A. Trevino (M)
Global Virtual Classroom has been a wonderful experience. This international project has allowed me to collaborate with teenagers among the world, and I have discovered they have basically the same concerns that we have here in Mexico. I have been able to relate to them, and I know everyone in this project has been able to relate to at least one person regarding interests and concerns. GVC has also given me an opportunity for my voice to be heard internationally, and to express my feelings about topics on my daily life. I am very thankful for this experience because it has made me grow as a person, and I have been able to relate to people thousands of kilometers from here.Alejandro Davila (M)
GVC has been an extraordinary class where I have learned a lot of things and discovered a lot of things about other countries, like the hobbies etc.
I talked about soccer here Mexico and in our school the days we practiceGino S (M)
My experience in the GVC project has been fantastic. I have learned a lot of things, for example how to format a paragraph in Dreamweaver, what is peace, how to use Nicenet, etc. I also learned that I can work with people all around the world with internet. I definitely will participate again in the GVC project.Billy Salinas (M)
Working in GVC was a very nice experience. I improved my skills in flash, and I had never worked in a team with students from other continents. It was very fun and I learned to work with people that I don’t know.
Jorge Escalante (M)
In this year GVC was a very tough year because the 9th graders are the leaders and we were working very hard. But I also had very good times here working with my friends and interacting with other people around the world working in the same project. I think the most important thing in this project is the interaction we have with other countries thanks to the new technology that we have and that we need to take advantage of it.
Ashley Clark (U)
GVC was very productive. It taught me a lot about different things that I didn't know existed. It also helped me with my writing skills. I like GVC because it lets kids in other countries express their own opinions on different beliefs and conflicts.
Arianna Slate (U)
I think that GVC was fun. You have to be very committed to it and you do have work. It was very exiting to talk to people across the world. You also get to email people. Also, if you do it, your website looks pretty good.
Jessica James (U)GVC was fun. It just seemed like such a commitment, but it was better than study hall. (That's where we do are homework at the end of the day.) On the bright side, it was fun to talk to kids in other countries. And it was cool to learn about the dress codes and stuff.
Jessica Hoy (U)
I liked being able to write about whatever we wanted to and working with other countries.
Jordan Fox (U)
GVC was a great experience for me. I loved to talk to other people from other countries, see what they thought about life, and learn what teenagers from other countries in the world act like. The only bad thing about it was that it's a little hard to contact each other, but that turned out okay.
Brendan Miles (U)
I think that GVC was really fun because I learned a lot of things I didn't know by reading other peoples pages. Also, I learned a lot by researching my topic. I learned what people think about topics like fashion and cutting. I learned that people who aren't a lot like me can have very similar thoughts to me.
Chris Warring (U)
When I was doing this, I enjoyed it very much. Doing this made me realize that people in other countries grow up in a very different way than everyone else in a different country. I learned that some people's customs and what is expected of them are way different than mine. I think that it's good for people to realize that we have such a 'laid back' country and not much is expected from us.
Nika (R)GVC was a great experience for me. I liked doing all activities like writing articles on interesting topics, trying to do pages and computer graphics. I liked the direction of our project that is writing articles "from head", that is to use your previous knowledge and expressing opinions.
But most of all I value GVC project for the opportunity to collaborate with different countries. Our team is great; three schools have become one unique team. It is very sad that according to rules we can't work with these partners again. I would like to take part in GVC with the same staff in the future.
Arina (R)
I think that computer technologies are very important if students life. Usual English lesson is too boring and sometimes pupils can't understand the meaning of their knowledge (she means purpose of learning, practical use), they only learn rules and read strange sentences.
But computer technologies open new horizons in front of our eyes. Owing to these technologies we communicate with foreigners and understand all importance of studying languages.
Besides, it is very interesting and useful for us to communicate with foreigners, to learn their thoughts, point of view.
Often when we reason on theme (think over) of our project we discover ourselves, it helps sometimes to find answers on our questions.
Nikita (R)
The advance of technology has meant that most school children are familiar with computers; it can be used to teach a wide variety of subjects.
Using computers on lessons can be useful for children if they are taking part in international projects like GVC project.
That project was made to help children in connecting with teenagers from other countries. They need to communicate with each other to do the tasks. Task is to make a site. Theme is chosen by teams themselves. In our GVC team there are children from America and Mexico and we decided to do site on theme about all of us – teenagers.
Anna (R)
This project is a good idea. I think it helped me to solve my problems. I learnt interesting information. Besides, the project let me meet people from abroad. I think it is great!
Alex (R)
I think that this project was successful. We spoke about our life and we saw that teenagers share the same issues in other parts of the world.
Dashulya (R)
I think that the project was great. It was very good planned. For us it was a good opportunity to practice English language in interesting situations of communication and writing. We wrote articles and learnt new words.
Nastya Losenkova (R)
I think that the project is very effective. It united opinions of three great countries, Mexico, USA and Russia . The project was about us done by us. It is very interesting.
Ilya (R)
I like the project. It is a very good idea to study the life of modern teenagers.
Natalie Capps (U)
...It was a wonderful experience. The kids had a chance to see the expectations and abilities of students in different countries and had their eyes opened to how similar teenagers are around the world. There were a lot of conversations about "Hey! Me, too!" that I think the kids didn't really understand how similar we could be before this. I appreciate all of your help and hard work. It's hard to organize and run things and (Eva) you stepped up to submit the weekly letters and keep us producing till the end.
