Many teenagers have mobile phones. It is very comfortable, because they can call different people any time and people can always find them.
But for some teenagers mobile phone is like a friend. They give too much time to it, play games, change settings, find and download melodies, buy different accessories to their phone.
They become very nervous and unable to feel normally and usually if they forget their phone at home or if they are in the zone where a phone does not work. They are in panic to miss important calls.
So, they are addicted to having phones all the time.
Way to fight with this addiction can be assigning period of time when the phone will be switched off. With time, these periods should become longer. Another way can be to even exaggerate. You can have your phone always in hands, talk to it, and wash many times a day. And after several days you will become tired of it.
Another addiction connected with mobile phones is SMS. Statistics shows that number of sent short messages is growing rapidly. Young people and teenagers are main clients of this service.
It is not bad if you can send message to report short information and send request. But if you send many messages on any occasion every day, then you are addicted. Doctors are starting to speak about SMS addiction which is not easy to overcome.
Why young like sending SMS? Because it is easy, no need to talk, build sentences, think how to express a thought. Now people even confess in love with help of short messages or talk to their boyfriends and girlfriends this way.
SMS addicted teenagers spend less time on real communication or not at all. Result will be problems in making contacts now and in adult life.
Remember that mobile phones are only technical tools to make life easy but they must not become a toy with which you spend a lot of time and must not substitute normal human communication.
