Drugs
Drugs are very common in today's world, since they're almost in every place and sooner or later are presented to you by your "friends" or people who really don't care about you and offer them to you just to make money, since the drug selling is a vicious circle that is very difficult to break, they're free at first, you become addicted and the person who sold them to you knows that so he raises the price until you have to steal or sell them yourself to afford to buy them. This way drug addicts become dangerous for society, because to sell drugs and get money for their own dose, they involve more and more people into this bad habit. If need of dose is very urgent, one can even use violence to have money needed. Teenagers use them for a lot of reasons and they vary a lot, from just to be "cool" to use them because of depression, or just to experiment the feeling. There are well known signs of behavior which suggest that a teenager is taking drugs: - loss of interest to something that he was very interested in before, like hobbies. - sharp decrease in school progress, change of discipline to worse, missing of classes. - loss of interest to his own appearance - frequent change of mood from very merry to depressed - a teenager becomes very reserved - money disappears after his visit or from parents wallets. - unwillingness to communicate with old friends and appearing of new friends instead - desire to wear only clothes with long sleeves. If one or more of these signs appear, parents and friends should become very alarmed and try to help until it is too late. Teens who use drugs never end well and only lead to problems with almost every one they know, taking drugs is never the answer, because they don't help you in your problems, they only make them worse. Using drugs apart you from the ones you care about. It becomes more difficult to find a girlfriend or boyfriend because many young people care about their future and do not want to be connected with drug addicts.
The worst of all is that the brain gets used to substances very quickly, in most cases even after the first try and can not live without them. A teenager becomes very dependant. Now he stops to belong to himself and the life depends on how fast he can find a dose. All organs and brain demand it urgently; one begins to feel very badly physically and only dose can bring relief. But the periods of relief will be shorter and shorter with the time. So, after a while one loses his personality completely. The life becomes a circle: to find money, buy and take drug, get short relief and all starts again. Nothing is interesting anymore, family, friends, school, hobbies and interests. It is extremely difficult to get rid of drugs addictions. Doctors can help in clearing body from addictive substances but the most important thing is the brain that will remember the "pleasure" even after many years. So, just one try after treatment and all is started again. Very strong will is needed to overcome this addiction and statistics shows that not many people have it. So, the best way is never to try and enjoy the life that is given to you only once. Carlos (M), Nika (R)
